Contex Warranty Information
Contex's Product Warranty is for all scanner sales in the United States.The warranty period is two (2) years from the date of invoice to the final customer.
Contex warrants that the scanners are delivered in the latest revision, free of defect arising from design, material or workmanship.
Contex’ support obligation is limited to the repair or replacement of any faulty parts. The obligation only entails faulty items which are not results of:
- Faults or negligence of the user
- Improper or unauthorized use of the scanner
- Attempts to repair the equipment by the user or other unauthorized persons
- Causes external to the equipment or part thereof such as, but not limited to, power failure, catastrophes or unusual environmental conditions.
- Consumables, such as parts affected by normal wear and tear (lamps, glass, white background plates, filters) are not covered by the 2-year warranty plan.
Contex 12 Month Onsite Repair Service Warranty
Upgrades the existing 2 Year Parts Only Warranty to a 12 month On-Site full service warranty and 2nd year Parts Only warranty. Full Service warranty coverage can be renewed for up to 5 years.
Details:
- Telephone support provided from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM local time, during weekdays. No weekend support.
- Average on-site response time in major metro areas is 8 hours.
- Includes labor for hardware service and parts replacement, as needed at time of service.
RESTRICTIONS
- Non-warranty repair parts (white background plates, glass plates, and fluorescent lamps) are not included.
- Integration services are not included, but are available on time and material basis, on request..
- Initial unit-inspection service call is required prior to coverage being extended.
- Inspection fee will be waived if the scanner is in acceptable operating condition and an extended-warranty service plan is purchased at the time of the inspection service call.
RESPONSE TIMES
In ZONE ONE Cities, Contex. will provide an eight (8) hour response time, and in areas outside the ZONE ONE Cities, Contex. will use best efforts to respond within eight (8) hours, subject to customer, technician, part availability and timing of the customer call. The eight (8) hour response time is measured from the time that the customer’s request for service is received at the Contex. CARE Center until a technician arrives at the customer’s site. Customer calls placed in the afternoon of a workday will normally result in a visit the next business day.
