BookTEK® 5 V1A-C35/C50 is the professional solution for digitization projects that require high quality images at maximum productivity, while eliminating strenuous, repetitive tasks required of an operator to get the job done.
BookTEK 5 V1A-C35 scans originals up to A1 in size at high speeds, with the unique book cradle for books 35 cm (13.75 inches) thick. The scanner distinguishes three modes: fixed plate glass, without glass plate and with an automatic opening at 45 degrees.
Together with software packages such as Batch Scan Wizard, even the toughest requirements of a digitization project can be met.
Fully automatic operation, sensor controlled pressure for glass plate
In Auto Mode, the scanning process is fully automatic. Sensors in the book cradle plates control the pressure. The book cradle plates are motor driven and deal with a book thickness of up to 13.75 inches (35 cm). (Optional 50 cm book cradle available.)
The glass plate is ideal for scanning in flat mode with very thick books.
The glass plate applies the ideal amount of pressure to the source material without damaging it, assisting in flattening the curve of the book fold.
An integrated 27" Touchscreen allows the operator to control image quality and make some modifications on the fly. Scanned images can be output to USB, Email, network folder, printer or on a mobile device like an iPad or Android tablet.

State of the art illumination using two bright white LED bars guarantees long lifetime and a low cost of ownership, since there are practically no consumables necessary over the life of the product. Cutting edge camera technology, with a dust-protected, fully sealed camera box holding CCD systems that use a patented stitching procedure, delivers up to 600 dpi scanner resolution.
Books can be up to 19.7 Inches thick with the C50 option. The motorized cradle supports can be independantly adjust to protect the delicate bindings of large books.
Control the motorized cradle using the Siemens designed controller. Adjust the left or right side supports to protect delicate bindings.
Separate controls on the touchscreen allow the user to control the glass plate to raise enough to turn the pages of the book then return to scan position.
