The WideTEK 48 is a compact and quiet walk up scanner delivering the sharpest color with 4 high quality CCD cameras and bright LED lighting. At the full width of 48" and 200 dpi resolution, the scanner scans at 11.2 inches per second. The scanning speeds in black and white and greyscale modes are also 11.2 inches per second. Additionally, at 300 dpi, the scanner still scans at 7.5 inches per second in Color, Black and White or Greyscale.

All of these speeds are guaranteed, due to the Scan2Net® technology integrated in the scanner´s own built in 64 bit Linux PC. It is a true standalone system capable of scanning directly to FTP servers, hot folders, USB drives, to cloud applications in the internet or copying to printers directly, without the need for an extra PC.

The WideTEK 48-600 handles documents up to 50 inches wide with a maximum scanning width of 48 inches. The scanner is a standalone system which is capable of scanning to FTP servers, hot folders, USB mass storage devices, cloud applications on the Internet or copy directly to a printer without an additional external PC.

WideTEK 48 gently scans due to special transport rollers that serve as pressure points ensuring safe document transport. For historical and fragile documents, this is critical.

Automatic document size recognition means that operators are flexible when feeding a source document into the scanner. It is not necessary to exactly center the document on the scan area. With crop and deskew, the resulting image output will be straight, centered and without black borders.

The new and unique background drum does not touch the glass plate at any time, avoiding scratches and document skews. To achieve extra contrast on sepias and film based documents, the standard black drum can be exchanged with a (optional) white drum, without needing any tools.

The user operates the scanner either across a network with a standard internet browser via PC or directly on the built-in touch screen located on the front of the scanner. The scanner uses it's own internal PC. You cannot connect this scanner directly to a PC.

The optional 22" Touch Screen monitor can be directly connected to the scanner and used to operate the scanner instead of the 7" touch screen. Using either the 7" touch screen or the optional 22" Touch screen display, up to 30 different password protected jobs can be defined and stored. The jobs contain preconfigured settings such as scan parameters or directories on the network drives.

In addition, the Scan2Pad Application can allow the user to use an iPad or Tablet to control the scanner via a Network Wi-Fi Connection.

State of the art illumination using bright white LEDs guarantees long lifetime and a low cost of ownership, since there are practically no consumables necessary over the life of the product. Cutting edge camera technology, with a dust-protected, fully sealed camera box holding CCD systems that use a patented stitching procedure, delivers up to 1200 dpi scanner resolution.

The 7 inch high resolution multi-touch, touchscreen provides access to all functions directly from the scanner. It's very easy to access and operator-friendly as it's located at the center of the scanner where the operator stands or sits.

One USB 3.0 port in the front of the device (next to screen) allows the user to plug in a USB storage device, scan the source document to the USB device and walk away - without the need for a connected PC - ideal for every self-service environment.

The FREE Scan2Pad® application allows WideTEK scanners to be controlled and operated using an iPad or an Android tablet or a smartphone running Android version 3.2 or higher or an iPhone. The paper guide consists of only one piece which includes the scanning bed, scanning area and the exit path. There are no edges or catches which could cause a paper jam. The suface is textured for trouble free transport and the stainless steel makes for an anti-static surface that's long lasting too.
