WideTEK 25

The WideTEK 25 is available for applications where fast scanning speed and high optical resolution is required. The scanner needs less than three seconds to scan the largest format of 18.5 x 25 inches in normal mode at 300 dpi and only 12 seconds in 3D mode at 600 dpi, twice as fast as the closest competition.

WideTEK 25 delivers high resolution color, black and white or grayscale images in jpeg, tiff, pdf and most other standard image output formats. This large flatbed combines production ready design and uniquely compact dimensions in a new class of professional but affordable scanners.

The WideTEK 25 can scan nearly anything: from business cards to diagrams, books, newspapers, maps, construction drawings, bound documents and more. The new scratch resistant, non-reflective borderless glass platen prevents bent edges on source documents.

WT25 uses CCD cameras that can capture the "depth" on an image that CIS camera based flatbeds cannot. This becomes important when scanning anything with a texture or depth other than perfectly flat.

The 3D scanning mode captures the depth and texture of surfaces so perfectly that the scan on a screen looks like the real thing. The WideTEK 25 has two LED lamps, twice as many as the competition. With their new diffusors, these lamps produce an extremely homogeneous illumination which eliminates all unwanted shadows caused by folds, wrinkles and other distortions of the scanned object.

The WideTEK 25 brings you an even higher return on investment with the addition of the new WT25-BACKLIGHT option for scanning transparent material of all kinds, like X-rays, glass negatives, 35mm microfilm aperture cards, cutout stencils, sepias and film.

The optional backlight unit replaces the standard scanner lid. It is easily assembled and users can scan with or without the backlight, depending on the source material requirements, by simply switching the light on or off. The unit can be purchased separately for customers who already own a WideTEK 25.

The 7 inch color WVGA (wide VGA) touchscreen provides access to all functions directly from the scanner. It is very easy to access and is operator-friendly because it is located right at the center of the scanner, exactly where the operator stands or sits.

One USB 3.0 port in the front of the device allows the user to plug in a USB storage device, scan the source document to the USB device and walk away - without the need for a connected PC - ideal for every self-service environment.

The WideTEK WT25 flatbed scanner has an optional 22" touchscreen monitor for a larger image display and easier touchscreen control of the scanner. The model shown also has the backlight option installed.

Connect the scanner to your network and you can use any browser on your Windows, Mac or Linux computer to control the scanner and save images. Images can be saved to USB flashdrive, USB Hard drives, network folders, network printers and more.
